I was a student in India in the 70's, with high-caste Indian friends who were all preparing for arranged marriages following the Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle. My roomies, my sisters were positive influences to my life before my husband and my children opening a totally different mode of thinking in their preparations for marriage in our study environment casting a realistic view of the competitiveness of their marriage culture. The requirements of brains, beauty ... The want of perfection which shocked me. I was fortunate to have found 'sisters' who included me in their lifestyle, their practices and their levels of approved expectations of polk-markless natural beauty.

My favourite was sugarcane juice with peach yoghurt or vanilla ice cream, liquified with baffalo milk in the afternoons; crushed tomato juice with ground celery, mangoes, apples and dhaniya was my favourite for breakfast. Distinctly different from the usual my aryas would prepare which were always bitter or pungent in taste and smell. My aryas kept me on a special diet pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy and after- pregnancy to compliment the massages and treatments they gave me daily. I have come to realise that those were lymphatic draining massages and skin & body nourishing treatments. The aryas went on to give my eldest baby massages to aid in 'quick' co-ordination and mobility development, inculcating a diet and exercise regimen geared to help her communicate faster which she did do, surprising my parents upon our arrival in Fiji, well before she turned 1. India was an amazing country to have conceived children for they even had diets for expecting mothers who wanted their children to go into specific fields of study ...Naturally it didn't take much to convince me. My gals proved the 'India Aryurvedic Diet' right, only that they opted for different industries.

Cleansing from the inside will manifest itself in your outer beauty or as you've coined "Skin Glow'. Reflecting on the wisdom of this age-old practice I value has now positively impacted my 3 children in their adult lives for they all voluntarily chose to live the 'lifestyle' without any intervention from me. I sincerely hope that somewhere in the recesses of their minds, the seed was borne out of my conscious choice to 6 month 'juice diet' before they arrived. I only wish that I had continued this lifestyle permanently upon my return to Fiji, naturally preventing many toxic elements ... All that is history now.

Yes Roi!

I had five good, long years in India;where my husband,my three children's father; and my two brothers also thoroughly enjoyed the Indian exposures. We cherish those days until today.

K was born in India, carried her double citizenship until her 21st birthday when she chose her Fijian over the Indian. .G was conceived in India but was born in Fiji. Surprised Roi?
rrROI? Not curry, that's a paste with tumeric as the base, like our Pasifika rerega gang. That was your purification treatment to bless your matrimony as a form of welcome and pampering by Sab's family, washing off all the sins of your past and to help you glow for the wedding, ridding your skin of sun exposure and damage. Great skin polisher :) :) Vinaka much, coz now you've prompted us to add our India ala Pasifika recipes ... Ia ia ... Coming soon to a discussion near you lol

Didn't want to reveal them, but now we kinda have to. Now. Grrr lol.
