This guy is a genius. He uses a James Bond kinda character for all his books ive checked out- Dirk Pitt. Funny thing is i never purchased any of his books...just handed to me by a kind auntie kalesi at the hyatt [aka warrick] hotel when guests check out...
This guy is a devotee of the "detail" temple..sometimes i just fast forward to the action part cos he actually believes that we will recheck the place names and dates.etc, knowing fully that we are reading fiction.. [but yes, i think we all sometimes succumb to de temptation to check]
Sometimes i feel he weaves de same kinda tapestry as sydney sheldon n frederick forsythe...oh n one other thing
saw him on national geographic a few months ago..he apparently leads scientific expeditions [with full video coverage] looking for lost ships and treasures..
OMg how i wish i cud have his job
working and at same time catch fresh fish for dinner n lunch. mai ke!!
oh anada thing..cussler..
wat abt dean koontz n stephen kings? anyone into books that exercise our neck hairs ...
[love to read this kind in daylight but not twilight...lest i not wake cum morns first lite]
Yea Dirk Pitt. That's the James Bond same same tautauvata character. Wananavu dina.

Steven King comes to mind for hair raising type, but sometimes he gets carried away that boredom strikes you in the face. There was this book he wrote about a kidnapped women tied to the bed. All the book was about was what she was feeling till the end. GRRRRR. I fail to get some excitement of interest out of it but that's an exception. Rest of his book are somewhat interesting. Im honestly not a fan of his... lol

One time when working for apple computers, his tech guy called cause his MAC computer needs fixing. The music wasn't playing loudly enough. He likes to listen to some sort of music while writing. This is the closest encounter I've had in meeting him. Ela kinda far lol.
