I take my hats off for those who single-handily raised their kids.

hey guys ! Only just read a few comments and love this group already . I am a single Parent of 2 children but both have the same father . I have to say even though i never wanted to be a single parent as i grew up in a single parent family being kinda sat between 2 chairs and trying to cope with living with my mom and seeing my dad now and then , I am now very blessed to have a lovely daughter and a brilliant son who i love to bits . Yes it has been hard at times but it is worth it totally . They are my blessing . I had some help from my family and since moving country and loosing this help i build some great relationships with people in the area . I do still hope that one day we will be a complete family and i am pretty sure this will happen when its meant to .

Bless you all and keep going your not alone !!!! Gbu

Ok I'm referring to someone that I really know her as she is a single parent with 4 children/ 4 different fathers...the point is she want more children because she is very happy collecting her single parent benefits and child support etc.., She dump her children to her parent and take overseas holidays for 4 months. Is this fair to the children upbring or what?
To all single parent out there have a awesome New Years 2010 and stay safe......cheers

Though I don't have kids yet and never been married, but the main reason why I joined in this group is because I truly admire single parents. Especially those who have successful kids. And my sister is also a single parent. But I really admire her for all her sacrifices for her kids.
But I know some people who are single parent yet they keep on doing same mistakes... thye keep on producing kids with no father....They were commonly refered as "Factory of First Born Kids."

Having my son has been the greatest accomplishment I've ever done. I give my respects to all the single moms out there that have more than one. I thought having one was hard! He has truly taught me a lot, but I've been blessed to have my parents there for me. My dad has been the best father figure! My son is the person he is today, because of him. Thanks DAD!!!!

family is mum and dad..went thru the single upbringing..it still hurts..i make sure that my kids NEVER EVER GO THRU IT, IT'S DOES ALOT OF DAMAGING...it can never be right .. a child is both parents responsibility..one who fails will have to answer one day when he/she is no longer in this world...

Single parents faces extra challenges in life.

When we think about having children, most of us picture a family with two parents. However, for many people, the reality is that they are the only parent. Although raising a child as a single parent can be challenging, it can also be rewarding.

You may be a single parent, but you are not alone. Look around you—your family and friends can help. Let them. If you don't have family members or friends nearby, look for a support group for single parents. You'll meet others who are in similar situations, share feelings and get advice.

NEVER GIVE UP OKAY!!

Well me myself personally love being a single mum, as all the good always out does the bad.. If any mistakes are made bringing my children up than they are my mistakes and no-one elses....After 21 years of doing this i think all is going pretty sweet.....
