many of us are like that discussion title above!!!! we know the truth yet we ignore them!!!! 4 wot?? ur own good or for the sake of just doing it?? pple shud ask themselves this particular question!!! refferin to one article i read on an internet stating the Prostitution...well by reading the headline we knw wot it means!!! but yet pple tend to ignore and instead they make fun of the mentionedgals!!!! as the resindence of labasa i have seen this going on!!!! not only to the prostitutes but to some innocent gals as well!!!! people here are less concerned with the pples feelings and the self respect... wat am trying to point out is that labasa is a hometown of so many respected villages in the north includinn macuata itself!!!!! so they are behind in so many things happening arnd our nation!!! its not that am saying that they are irrespondsible but they are afraid to know the truth!!!!!!For Example!!!! if a gal wears a mini short with a strapless top to town!!! then u regard urself naked!!! coz seriously u are!!!!!! u will just wish to be a snow so that u can melt down!!!!!thousands of eyes over you and you alone in that small tiny town!!!!!! IMAGINE!!!! how will you feel??most probably(((EMBARRASED)))....this is not only an example but its happening rite now!!!!! so wot can we point out is that we knew the truth!!! anyone can wear anything regardless of her religion, family, self respect!!!!!! we already now that but yet we dnt entertain or tolerate it because we are afraid!!!! to know the truth!!!! its happening so we cant stop it until something is really done to solve it!!!!!!!

It seems that the innocent young girls wearin these short skirts around Labraska town are presumed to be indulging also in the oldest profession. Some may innocently dressed as such due to the weather and prefered attire, while some do so deliberately to flaunt their wears, which initiate the reaction that instigate the feeling that demands for the "service".
However. those who choose to wear knee length and thigh-length skirts, have a legal right to so, while our traditional perspective is not in favour of such attire.

Obviously an individual's legal right is now restricted by tradition or custom.

The truth depends on an individual's legal right as opposed to his/her traditional obligation. Whether one uphold or respect the other is left for eachone to decide.

By the way, Emma I understand that much have been happening over that side of the island and hopefully the relevant organisations who have the responsibility to promote human rights will enter such communities and highlight it's importance and the relevant authorities who safeguards the interest of those which are victimised for being construed as immoral in wearing traditionally offensive attire are diligent in promoting the consequence to those who are responsible for the punishment.
Normal reaction, we cant really expect people from labasa to be wearing mini skirts and most men to tolerate such dress code !!!

normal behaivour for people living in a village !! Dou qai mada mai Suva City vulica kina na different types of dress code!!
the only problem about coming to Suva City...e so mai vulica kina na dress code...but so e mai vulica tale kina na different types of undress code!!!...lolzzzz
Suva city life gona ya !! has a different context, compared to the village or rural areas!!

Undress her !!3and 3 shes gonna undress you!! forget about your boyfriend!!! and meet me at the hotel!!! motel!!! holiday inn!!!lolzzzs!!! mujerrr!!!
guys...guys....we're talking about dress code here...not undress code...lol....tsk...tsk...tsk
lol! :P
regardless of how one dresses.....at some stage he/she has to undress....right??

The point is...some do not wait for the proper time to undress......some love undressing at any time.....some can't wait to undress.....some treat undressing as a hobby...lol

Some wait for days, some for weeks to undress....which is quite unhealthy..lol.

You see, these are undress codes which are healthy to learn.
hahahahahahhaha....u always have something to say LAX.....so which of those code apply for u????...lmao
it has been a common thinking that, if you have it flaunt it!!! well shame on you....

To gain respect from other people, you should learn to respect yourself first.. By wearing improper dress codes more especially when you are in the wrong place gave you reasons other people to show disrespect towards you....

various dresses applies to various occasions...
Bula re Emma :) :)

Must applaud you for your rant.

As difficult as it is to associate with the core of your reaction to what you are seeing and know is happening, the closest we can compare this epidemic to is attached here.

Hopefully, you and yours may get some insight into possible sleeping barriers, if and when you choose to fight this, as a community or through a group. Citizens in action for the right reasons :) :)

I believe that you occassionally wear these miniskirts around town, Emma and probably on some occassion have become the centre on attention, attracting the desire of the other gender who will naturally respond at 1st sight, while some innocently daydream of possibly involved with you right there & then, minus what you're wearing...these are the ones who know that they don't have a chance in this world, but choose to ignore the truth to benefit their fantasy.

Some girls may wear simillar clothing and pretend to be innocent when in fact they are trading and normally guys may make certain gestures to show their affection and feeling and some may even have the courage to make an approach....these are the ones who knows there is no harm in trying, when in fact they don't know that truth is that they don't have a chance unless they have the money.

Then there are those who are culturally sensitive and regardless of your purpose of dressing in a minimal way, you are offending our tradition, custom and culture and deserves to be punished....and these are normally relatives who know very well that you have the right to dress in such a way.....these are the ones who know the truth but choose to ignore your right due to their traditional allegiance.

Some are offended, when girls are dressed in such a way when they assume there are some involvement in the trade....and their suspicion could in fact be correct......leaving the question, whether punishment is deserved and of what nature??...these are the ones who know the truth and cannot ignore it...and at the same time they are aware of legal rights and are powerless to carry out the punishment they feel is deserved.

This leaves no barrier for the offender to trade openly, while the truth is known and ignored by those who are aware of the purpose of dressing in this particular way, while the innocent observer knows that it's an individuals legal right to dress in such a way, when in fact it's an opprtunity for someone to financially gain, illegally.

But Remember!!! " The Truth Will Set U Free"
u know this kinda re-action cumin from guys r kinda funny to us gals. Cos mostly, wen we dress up,we actually wear clothes we are comfortable in,or the ones we think looks cute on us.....it's not like we wear them to tease guys.........
