To some extent. Cause Fijians don't value human rights. Still evolving. Common in 3rd world country, not only in Fiji. Male are dominant in Fiji. But for what I know, normally when the guys are under the influence. :P Which most of them (me as well) are, but I don't practice the later. :P

i agree with kelera the reason its more common with fijian men cause its who we hang around and more heard about u have to admit alot high stats when it comes to wife bashing in fiji something along the lines of 78% of men hit there women to have some kind of control or yet to make them feel more manly!!!! too many bothee's who like to drink and root around then come home and blame there spouse for there own actions time to make a change with these men??? how do u suggest??? why are these men such high church goer's and yet drink screw around and beat there wives??? not very humble is it???

Your so right there sabrina, i know of a few women that whoop there spouses and it makes me sick to the guts that these men live in a silent shame because so to speak a man cant be beat by a woman, and its so unfair to these guys as well. But on the flip side as i have lived a life style many years ago where a man belived he had thew right to be physical whenever he chose to, but that soon changed when he learned that i to could whoop his arse back ha ha ha and beileve me i made sure he got it all back,,,, then i left him. i look back now and cant understand how i let fear over rule me. But that was from the mental abuse that was the added bonus to his physical abuse. I say all sisters need to kick the shit out of a man that beats a woman in one big group. kind of a sista watch out 4 sista ring. haha. yep sum women can whoop a mans stinky arse. ha ha ha

like the term "church goers". well and truly ripe in Fiji. church on a sunday back to square one come monday. rape n violence n crimes etcetcetc........... the world of pornography certainly is booming as it affects everyday lives.

Yes it certainly is every where. just maybe its hidden a bit better in sum countrys,,,,,here in aussie its a very common act too. There are sooo many good guys out there and its the guys that treat there women so poorly that make women suspect it in all men. these guys have very big insecurities or are simply just spoiled bloody brats. And women myself included have done this ,,,,always think i can save this man he is worth it. no no no if hit once kick them to the curb,, or wait for the next hit.. .

I have never beat on a woman before, maybe coz am not married yet, but am not really thinking of beating up on my .....wel yeah if am gonna get married......point is Fijians are not the only wife beaters.....it happens everywhere........even in the first class civilized world.......the issue should not be about Fijian Men in particular, but MEN in general.....Why do MEN beat on heir wives??......simple answer is that, they are not men enough to take care of them......yah hev a good day bro...
